Hi! I am Lisa Svoboda Ditlefsen. A life long farmer’s daughter turned early childhood educator/advocate who is finally back where she belongs - Farming!

I had an ever expanding vegetable garden and several years ago my dad commented “why don’t you add a row of flowers like your grandma did to draw pollinators?”  Which I did, gladiolus, sunflowers, and zinnias. Then I discovered dahlias and the rest is history.

Blooming Basswoods Farm is a micro farm on just 4 acres. My husband, kids and I live and work here. We have two full size horses, a mini horse, chickens, and occasional beef calves from my dad’s farm that need some extra care. Located in beautiful central Minnesota not too far from Hutchinson.
